WHO I AM
Cultivating a Better Tomorrow
I’m a twelfth-generation farmer turned global advisor with over 30 years of experience in the seed industry and agricultural vegetable production. Having lived in East Africa for nearly a decade and worked across six continents, I consider myself a global citizen committed to making food systems more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable.
My journey has been shaped by hands-on field experience, boardroom strategy, and academic insight—supported by an MBA in Business & Sustainable Transitions. Along the way, I’ve led international teams, built global crop programs, and helped drive innovation in both conventional and organic agriculture.
What inspires me is the tension between vision and pragmatism—between bold system change and grounded action. I find deep resonance in the ideas explored by:
My journey has been shaped by hands-on field experience, boardroom strategy, and academic insight—supported by an MBA in Business & Sustainable Transitions. Along the way, I’ve led international teams, built global crop programs, and helped drive innovation in both conventional and organic agriculture.
What inspires me is the tension between vision and pragmatism—between bold system change and grounded action. I find deep resonance in the ideas explored by:
Kate Raworth in Doughnut Economics, challenging growth for growth’s sake
Charles Mann in The Wizard and the Prophet, contrasting technological
optimism with ecological restraint
Joris Lohman in Boter, Kaas en Havermelk, advocating food system
transformation from the ground up
George Monbiot in Regenesis, envisioning a regenerative future through food
innovation
And Charles Darwin’s Voyage of the Beagle, a timeless reminder of
observation, curiosity, and the long arc of change
These perspectives guide how I approach problems—with humility, curiosity, and a
systems mindset.
